The show is unexpectedly ending after over 20 seasons, according to the staff at ET Canada, the nation’s go-to source for celebrity news. The team at ET Canada cited a “challenging ad environment” as the reason for the heartbreaking decision.
Late on Wednesday morning, Corus Entertainment sent a brief statement to viewers in which it thanked the cast and crew for their work on the program.
“After more than 18 incredible seasons, we are ending the production of Entertainment Tonight Canada. The costs of producing a daily entertainment news magazine show in a challenging advertising environment have led to this decision,” it states in Twitter/X statement.
