Long Awaited CNE is Back This Year to Toronto

The greatest yearly fair in Canada is about to return to Toronto as the summer draws to a close.

From August 18 to September 4, 2023, Exhibition Place will once again host the Canadian National Exhibition, which will feature a ton of entertainment, activities, and food that you won’t want to miss.

The CNE in 2023 will feature a number of brand-new exhibits and performances in addition to a number of popular special events that will be back.

As many people are expected at the CNE, to make it simpler for travellers to travel to and from the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), Metrolinx is introducing extra service. On the Stouffville, Barrie, and Lakeshore West and East lines, Metrolinx will increase service in order to provide a smoother commute times. Additionally, veterans and a companion will be allowed to travel to and from the CNE for the Warriors’ Day Parade on August 19 using the free GO and UP services. Veterans’ immediate family members are also eligible for free transportation provided they are carrying proof of their relationship to the dead veteran, such as military records or a photo ID.

New things coming to CNE in 2023

Ferris wheel CNE

Experience the highest mobile ferris wheel in North America.


Want to escape the hordes and the heat of the summer? Visit The Superwheel, a 150-foot-tall ferris wheel with air-conditioned pods that can hold up to six people, for the ideal opportunity to engage with your party. At the Calgary Stampede earlier this year, it made its maiden trip in Canada.

Watch Vegas style show

Make sure you have a good view of Lake Ontario because Sparkling Symphony, a brand-new water show, will feature 11 fountains spinning up to 100 feet in the air in time to lively music and a variety of vibrant lasers and lights.

Experience skateboard show

Open a cool energy drink and enjoy the Monster Energy skateboard team’s performance on a specially constructed halfpipe. Get a new haircut at the Monster barbershop or dance to live DJ performances.

Try some extravagant food choices

The CNE provides a variety of exotic foods and beverages each year. Although the secret menu and new food items for this year have not yet been revealed, some examples of the bizarre foods served in prior years include pickle lemonade and ketchup and mustard soft serve.

Enjoy world class ice skate show

Watch in wonder as elite extreme skaters adorn the ice with breathtaking performances at Time Flies, a spectacular display taking over the Coca-Cola Coliseum, including special guest and Olympic silver medallist Elvis Stojko.

See the Nat Geo seas

Explore Pristine Seas, the new National Geographic exhibition for this year, to discover the value of protecting the oceans via eye-catching imagery and video.

Even the colossal icebergs of the Antarctic and the vibrant coral reefs may be seen from the NatGeo team’s trips.

Feast your eyes on Circus performance

This year is all about thrilling performances at the CNE. Head on over to the Enercare Centre for Cirque-tacular Spectacular. The show will feature action-packed trampoline, gymnastics and aerial acrobatics and is sure to satisfy your inner thrillseeker.
