Best Butter Tart Festival in Ontario is This Weekend

Ontario’s Best Butter Tart Festival, which takes place on June 10, in charming Town of Midland, will feature 200 merchants and food trucks in downtown area and waterfront parks. Everything from butter tarts to one-of-a-kind handmade goods are sold by vendors. Also available at the festival are butter tarts in a variety of flavours, including plain, raisin, pecan, walnut, skor, maple, bacon, coconut, chocolate-covered, PB&J, s’mores, vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, cheesecake, pumpkin, and many more.

Schedule for 2023 Festival:

9:00 AM – Official opening of Ontario’s Best Butter Tart Festival including the Piping of the Tart with Midland Pipes and Drums

All day – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

200+ vendors – King Street, David Onley, and Harbourside Parks
Downtown merchants and their unique shops are open for business
Food Truck vendors
Buskers and entertainers

The BEST Butter Tart in Ontario will get a reward from the Egg Farmers of Ontario Butter Tart Contest. Both professional and amateur/home bakers are eligible for the competition. There are divisions for traditional and wild styles in the competition. Celebrities, chefs, culinary and travel bloggers, and local dignitaries make up our panel of judges, and they all have a passion for butter tarts.

The whole day, family-friendly musical acts will be presented on the Dairy Farmers of Ontario Entertainment Stage. Kids will also enjoy Harbourside Park’s Kids Zone.

The Dairy Farmers of Ontario Entertainment Stage hosts live musical performances all day long that feature excellent musicians from a variety of genres. Families may take their kids to the Kids Zone at Harbourside Park for interesting kid-friendly activities.
