Canadian icon William Shatner celebrates 92 Birthday

William Shatner, Canadian icon turned 92 on March 22, on his “special day,” the actor, thanked everyone who had sent him birthday wishes on Twitter. He also made a joke that will be enjoyed and loved by all Star Trek enthusiasts.

William Shatner’s birthday was not unnoticed among his many friend in the movie and entertainment business and some “Hobby Birthday” Tweets were hilarious.

Diedrich Bader, who is most known for his work on The Drew Carry Show, posted his best wishes alongside a picture of him with Shatner while he was disguised as a woman.

The actor who played the Doctor on Star Trek: Voyager, Robert Picardo, released a photo of himself having fun with the franchise’s original captain.

Shatner’s birthday was celebrated on Twitter by Jonathan Frakes, another legendary Star Trek figure who is presently directing and appearing in the third season of Of Trek: Picard and referred to Shatner as a “inspiration.”

William Shatner is a Canadian actor who was born in Montreal, Quebec, on March 22, 1931. His prolific production and self-deprecating sense of humour earned him a spot in the hall of fame of North American popular culture. His role as Captain James T. Kirk in the science fiction television series Star Trek (1966–1969) and subsequent Star Trek movies made him most famous.

Shatner also indirectly appeared in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode “Trials and Tribble-ations” using archival video, while the fourth season episode of Star Trek: Enterprise, “These Are the Voyages…” included his archival voiceover. A series of Star Trek novels featuring Kirk, the first of which was The Ashes of Eden, are credited to him as the author. He has also voiced the character of Kirk in a number of video games. The Reeves-Stevens brothers, Judith and Garfield, are his main “ghost” authors.
