Snow Stormzilla Heading for Southern Ontario
According to meteorologists Southern Ontario is bracing for major snow storm. The system is still being monitored by meteorologists, and your location will influence how much snow or rain falls where you are.
Environment Canada predicts that starting on Tuesday, communities in the York, Peel, Halton, and Durham areas, as well as Toronto, may get 5 to 10 centimetres of snowfall. One may anticipate anything from 10 to 15 cm of snow to accumulate in places like Newmarket and Caledon. The meteorological service stated there is a chance of freezing rain in these locations and that driving will be dangerous, especially later in the evening when the temperature rises above freezing.
Parts of central, eastern, and northern Ontario—including Sault Ste. Marie and Greater Sudbury—are under a storm watch, according to the agency. Beginning Tuesday afternoon, Environment Canada predicts between 15 and 30 cm of rain or snow.
Alright, it is not Snow Stormzilla quiet yet, snow fall up to 30 cm should be business as usual in Canada! Yet, taking in account bumper to bumper traffic on regular dry road conditions day, just imagine the commute time on 401, 400 or 404 with 30 cm snow!
