Ontario is now known for Kangaroos in the wild
Canada, known for wintery climate, perfect for winter sports such as ice hockey, curling and skiing. Known for being the second largest country in the world with many wild animals living on more than half of the North American continent. Moose has been the number one animal everyone thinks about when mentioning Canada, grizzly and black bears are second and perhaps elk being third. Now Ontario has a new animal on the list of eminent wild life fauna, Kangaroo!

Not a joke, actual Kangaroo was spotted jumping across Ontario. The marsupial broke free from its caretakers at Fun Farm and the Oshawa Zoo end of November. It was one of two that were being sent to a zoo in Quebec. The animal initially became well-known after a neighbourhood pet organization called Team Chelsea posted a video of it hopping on Winchester Road just after 7:45 a.m. on Friday morning. Winchester Road is located around three kilometres south of the zoo.
Around the same time, Durham police claimed, someone reported seeing a kangaroo. However, the responding officers were unable to find the animal and had to leave the area. Around thirty reports of the animal’s sightings had been made, according to the volunteers. Jumping Jack had a feeling of freedom, not sure if he had feeling of hunger and guilt, but he was free from fences and other boring inmates.
And now, free Willy has been arrested by Durham Police! Nut not without a fist fight!
A female kangaroo that had been escaped for three days was eventually apprehended by cops and handlers on Monday, according to Durham Regional Police, but the animal hit one of the officers in the face. According to Staff Sgt. Chris Boileau, two patrolling cops saw the missing kangaroo on Monday at approximately three in the morning and informed its handlers of her whereabouts.
According to Boileau, the kangaroo was seen by the cops until the handlers showed up and “successfully apprehended” her between 6 and 7 a.m. in the Oshawa area, near Winchester Road East and Harmony Road North. According to Boileau, one of the officers managed to ambush the kangaroo from behind and seize her by the tail during the capture. Boileau stated, “It punched one of our officers in the face, but he’ll be OK.”
Police said in their update on Monday that her “adventure” has come to an end and “she will continue on with her journey to Quebec in the near future.”
Poor Kangaroo will continue his sentence in Quebec Zoo.
