Matthew Perry, Canadian Actor and ‘Friends’ Star Dead at 54

Canadian and American actor Matthew Perry who is also known for his role in ‘Friends’ series as Chandler has died at 54. Records from the coroner state that the actor was discovered deceased at his Los Angeles residence. Perry’s cause of death is still being looked at, and it might take several weeks to find out.

According to unidentified sources quoted by the Los Angeles Times and celebrity website TMZ, which broke the story first, Perry’s body was discovered in a hot tub at his residence. The Associated Press was informed on Saturday by LAPD Officer Drake Madison that officers had visited that street “for a death investigation of a male in his 50s.”

TMZ reported that there were many prescription medications discovered at Matthew Perry’s home, according to recent information from law enforcement sources, the first responders who raced to his residence on Saturday did not discover any illegal substances. According the TMZ, authorities discovered a COPD medication, antidepressants, and anxiety medications in the home. COPD stands for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease; patients with emphysema or chronic bronchitis frequently take this medication.

TMZ also reported that after playing pickleball for two hours at the Rivera County Club next to his Pacific Palisades home, Matthew was discovered unconscious in his jacuzzi on Saturday afternoon. Report of Matthew playing pickle ball for two hours and dying in his jacuzzi has made many believe that Mathew Perry has suffered a heart attack and therefor drowned.
