Canadian Cell Phone Bills to Get More Expensive in 2024

Customers of Rogers and Bell may soon see a hike in their wireless prices. A Rogers spokeswoman indicated in an email statement that the price changes will apply to Rogers and Fido subscribers. Cell phone users may experience an increase of $7 to $9 depending on their plan. Those who do not have a term contract will notice the increased costs on their first bill after January 17. Customers on a term contract, on the other hand, will not see a change in their base monthly service charge for the life of their contract.

Considering that Canada is among those countries in the world who have the most expansive rates in the world, this price hike is another salt in the wound! According to MobileSyrup, Bell is also planning to raise the prices of its cellphone services. One client posted an image of an email they received on December 8 informing them of the impending rise. Starting in February 2024, the customer’s plan will be increased by $6.

And Canadians are not happy at all!

Is anything getting less expansive in Canada? Can we get a pleasant surprise from all the bills we need to pay while the income stays the same? Not so sure it will happen any time soon according economy forecast and government unwillingness to change thing towards better.
